The ballet dancers moved gracefully across the stage as if their bodies themselves were as soft and fine as felt or the finest silk, and the stage was of the smoothest of all black polished ice. The choral singers, with voices so soft and sweet, seemed like the slightest note could lift the most delicate of feathers and keep it afloat in the air.
